The Role
In a Middle Management position, you will be responsible for the academic or pastoral standards of your specific area. You will balance a reduced teaching timetable with the strategic oversight of your team, ensuring that curriculum delivery, student wellbeing, and staff performance align with our school’s global mission.
Core Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement departmental or pastoral improvement plans.

Staff Mentorship: Conduct observations, provide constructive feedback, and lead internal CPD.

Data-Driven Success: Oversee student progress tracking and implement effective intervention strategies.

Operational Management: Manage budgets, resources, and timetabling for your department or year group.
Candidate Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in your subject specialism plus a PGCE/QTS (NPQML or NPQSL is highly desirable).

Experience: Minimum [3-5] years of teaching experience, with a proven track record of departmental or pastoral responsibility.

Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire colleagues, manage difficult conversations, and lead change in a multicultural setting.

Technical Proficiency: Experience using management information systems (e.g., SIMS, iSAMS, or ManageBac).
