Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Physics lessons to students at GCSE and A-Level.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
  • Serve as a Form Tutor and mentor to students in the lower school, fostering their personal and academic development.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience teaching Physics at GCSE and A-Level.
  • Previous teaching experience in a UK school setting is essential.
  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a multicultural environment and work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Due to visa regulations, applicants must be under the age of 60.

Day-to-Day

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Physics lessons.
  • Provide individualized support to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers to share best practices and resources.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities and initiatives.
